ADDING WIPE LOCATIONS 

Before beginning any wipe tests, you must first define wipe test locations, counting times, 
and trigger limits.  To add a wipe test, choose the 

ADD

 button from the Wipe Location screen 

shown in Figure 7-1.  Figure 7-2 will appear.

Enter the wipe location in alphanumeric characters.  The software will first list all numerical 
wipe locations in ascending order, then list remaining wipe locations in alphabetical order. 
Move from one data field to another by using the 

Tab

 key or the trackball indicator.  Select 

either 200 dpm, 2000 dpm or 22,000 dpm from the Trigger Level drop down box, or type in 
any numerical trigger level manually.  Next enter the counting time.  The counting time is live 
time, and must be entered as seconds.  Note the Sealed Source check box.  If the Sealed 
Source check box is selected, and an X or check mark appears in the box, results will be 
reported in units of 

µ

Ci.  If the sealed Source check box is not selected, and no X or check 

mark appears in the box, then results will be reported in units of dpm.
