Create a Protocol from a Selected Protocol

• From the Home Screen, go to Data Manager, then select Protocol Manager.
• To the left under Protocols, find the protocol to be copied. In the Protocol field, use the dropdown filters to select All Protocols or

Custom Groups. Custom Groups are the user’s preferred list of protocols.

• To find Biocare Medical Protocols, click Show Biocare Protocols located on the bottom left.
• Select desired protocol to create a new protocol.
• To the bottom left of Protocol Manager window select the green Add (+) icon located below Show Biocare Medical Protocols.

• Once the green Add (+) icon is selected, select the Create from the Selected Protocol option.
• On the top right side of the window, under Protocol name, COPY will be added at end of the protocol name, edit the Protocol

name if needed.

• The dispense volume is 300µL.
• Use the icons provided to finish creating a protocol.
• Once all steps are added, the user can program time and select reagents from a dropdown menu (to add reagents go to Reagent

Manager). The user can select the number of washes required in each step under Count, with a maximum of 3 washes per step
allowed. Blow can be switched on or off by selecting the red (X) for OFF or the green check mark for ON. Turning off Blow will
leave any fluid from the previous step on the slide (including Pre-Rinse).

• When finished editing, click Save & Close.
