At the bottom of the Reagent Details box:
Designate the appropriate fields that are linked to the primary antibody of interest. For reference purposes, the user has the option to
indicate the Clone, Species, Diluent and Comments associated with the antibody of interest.
Negative Serum Group
The Negative Serum reagent group is used to assign negative controls associated with antibodies. This screen will allow the addition,
modification and deletion of negative control reagents.
When a negative control is ordered for a particular antibody, a duplicate protocol will be assigned to the case using the negative serum
linked to the antibody.
Secondary Group
This group is used to add, modify, and delete secondary reagents.
Tertiary Group
This group is used to add, modify, and delete tertiary reagents.
Chromogen Group
The Chromogen reagent group is used to add, modify, and delete chromogens. The Chromogen reagent group offers greater detail than
other reagent groups, and allows the user to program mixing of chromogens online. The user can also specify if a reagent is stable or
unstable if added under Chromogen Components under the Mix Group.
Counter Stain Group
The Counter Stain reagent group includes all counter stains. This screen will allow the addition, modification, and deletion of
counterstains.
Ancillary Group
The Ancillary reagent group includes all ancillary reagents not included in any other Reagent Group options. This screen will allow the
addition, modification, and deletion of ancillary reagents. The option for mixing ancillary reagents is available in this group if added
under Ancillary Components under the Mix Group.
Mix Group
The Mix reagent group is used to designate components of chromogens, enzymes, and ancillary reagents which will be used by the
VALENT to perform on-board mixing of these reagents.
Display Reagent Information
• Use the search field at the top of the Reagent Manager window to quickly find a reagent under the selected Reagent Group.
• Highlighting a group in the Reagent Group list will display a list of reagent group members in the upper right of the Reagent
Manager screen.
• Highlighting a reagent in the reagent list will display information about the reagent in the Reagent Details box in the lower right
side of the Reagent Manager screen.
