Skip Acquire Sat State
1
Choice
"No", "Yes"
Flag indicating whether the acquire state
should be set performed before entering
track mode.
If a Modem Module is present in the AvL antenna system and it supports a TX enable / disable
command, then the
Tx Enable Before Fine Peak
parameter may be used to modify when the TX Enable
command is sent to the Modem by the AAQ. This flag is typically not set (Value = “No”) by default and
the TX Enable command is sent after Fine Peaking is completed.
Some optional modes of operation such as TLE and Predictive Track do not require a standard
acquisition. For these, the
Skip Acquire Sat State
in enabled to allow these tracking modes to begin
immediately.
6.5 Signal Source Based Parameters
Properly configuring the parameters in the previous section assures that a good signal will be made
available to every Signal Source device. Since each device has its own characteristics, strengths and
weaknesses, the AAQ software gives the Level 4 operator the opportunity to fine tune the Acquisition
and Peaking processes for each Signal Source. Those parameters are available for viewing and
modification in the AAQRemote’s Profile Signal Source Window. An example of this window appears in
Figure 6.5.
