Interlocks are digital inputs to the AAQ controller. Many of these inputs parallel existing switch and
or sensor functions when needed. Optional systems often use interlocks for added safety or when
functional redundancy is called for. Contact AvL customer support for additional information and
before changing any interlock parameters which are part of your factory system configuration.
6.3 General System Set-Up - Core
The parameters discussed in this section are static and configure the AAQ for operation independent of the
chosen Target Satellite or Signal Source(s). They typically affect basic behavior of the system or make a
choice among multiple hardware sensor or device options that may be available for a particular function.
The General System Set-Up and previously discussed Hardware Safety parameters may be accessed through
one of the four tabs, “Core”, “Target”, “Signal”, and “Feed”, in the Configuration window in the AAQRemote
GUI. An example of that window is provided as Figure 6.3.
