4.3 Picture Mode 2
Enter Picture Mode 2 by setting the mode switch to PICTURE 2.
Display the input signal as a video image. This image may also be used for picture only display.
Use the function switches (F1 through F5) to select the item to be adjusted.
The format information, time code information, error information and audio level bar are not displayed in
picture mode 2.
Functions Assigned to H Delay, V Delay, AREA and MAG
Setting Item Description Default
H Delay ON: Displays the video image delayed in the
horizontal direction.
OFF: Displays the video image without delay in
the horizontal direction.

V Delay ON: Displays the video image delayed in the
vertical direction.
OFF: Displays the video image without delay in
the vertical direction.

AREA (*1) Moves the display area up, down, left, and right
when using a magnification of ×2 or ×4.
MAG (*2) During HD Input:

Displays the HD image at a resolution
of 960 × 540.
4:3: Displays the 4:3 area of the HD image
at a resolution of 1024 × 768.
SCOPE: Displays the HD image at a resolution
of 960 × 407.
×2: Cuts out a 1024 × 768 area of the HD
image and displays it at a resolution of
1024 × 768.
×4: Cuts out a 512 × 384 area of the HD
image and displays it at a resolution of
1024 × 768.
During SD Input:
×1:
Displays the SD image at a resolution
of 720 × 540.
4:3: Displays the SD image at a resolution
of 1024 × 768.
16:9: Displays the SD image at a resolution
of 1024 × 576.
×2: Cuts out a 512 × 384 area of the SD
image and displays it at a resolution of
1024 × 768.
×4: Cuts out a 256 × 192 area of the SD
image and displays it at a resolution of
1024 × 768.
