4.8 Phase Compare Mode
Enter Phase Compare Mode by setting the mode switch to PHASE.
The input signal phase and input sync signal phase are compared in this mode. The phase difference is
expressed as a delay time, lines, samples and two-dimensional coordinates. In addition, there is a
function for monitoring the phase difference and displaying an alarm.
The phase difference between the Input Signal 2 system and Sync Signal 2 system is simultaneously
displayed. Each is expressed using a number.
Assigned Number Description
1 Owner_CH The currently selected input channel is assigned.
2 Another_CH (*1) The channel selected for comparison is assigned.
3 REF_HD (*2) The HD_SC sync signal is assigned.
4 REF_SD (*3) The BB sync signal is assigned.
*1: The channel to be compared to is selected using “3.4.4 COMPARE” on the MENU screen.

The coordinate center can be selected from the input signal or sync signal. The delay time, lines and
samples are calculated based on the input signal or sync signal selected at the coordinate center.
The H/V of two dimensional coordinates is normalized using the H/V of the currently selected input
signal.
