The general configuration consists of the following parameters:
Parameter
Description
Instance Name
This parameter is a user defined name to identify between various ControlNet
Routers.
Description
This parameter is used to provide a more detailed description of the application for
the module.
Major Revision
The major revision of the module
IP Address
The IP address of the target module. The user can use the target browse button to
launch the target browser to the select the ControlNet Router on the network.
Main Mode
Operational
The module will operate as a ControlNet gateway exchanging data between the
configured Ethernet network and ControlNet network.
Promiscuous Capture
In this mode the module will operate as a ControlNet network analyzer by capturing
all data being transmitted on the ControlNet network.
ControlNet Mode
Target
A Logix controller can own the ControlNet Router over ControlNet using a scheduled
ControlNet connection (e.g. via a 1756-CNB/R)
Originator
As an ControlNet originator, the module can use two methods to exchange data with
one or more ControlNet devices:
Scheduled ControlNet
The ControlNet Router can own ControlNet IO by using the Slate software to configure
