General Purpose (GP) Applications:
Apply power to the analyzer and its temperature-control zone cir-
cuitry by closing the
Main AC Power
,
DC Power
,
Bench Heater
, and
Oven Heater
(if used)
fuses
.
For all applications:
If heated Sample and Vent Lines are used, apply power to them.
Close the analyzer enclosure doors and secure them with their latches
to allow the analyzer to warm up to operating temperature and stabi-
lize. This could take up to 2 hours if this sample system is allowed to
cool completely.
9. Lamp Wavelength Flash adjustment should be completed after replac-
ing the lamp.
A. Through the keypad press setup, then diagnostics, then lamp diagnos-
tics.
B. Read the wavelength on the right of the display and compare to the
wavelength in the manual supplement. This information is
located in the Maintenance section under Lamp Diagnostic Wave-
length. If the wavelength is different then you will need to change the
wavelength to the factory setting. If the wavelength is the same then
continue.
C. Record the measurement number on the right of the display. Typically
40,000 to 50,000. Refer to the manual supplement for factory set mea-
sure counts value at shipment.
D. Record the value for the dark reading.
E. If the value is in range from step C then go to step 10. If not then lamp
flashes must be adjusted to be in similar range of when the analyzer
shipped from the factory.
F. To adjust lamp flashes go to the home screen and press .3-18 keys. This
will take you to the service menu.
G. Go to Service Parameters and press enter. Then press ID 334 and enter.
Read the value and record. Compare to the manual supplement fac-
tory set flash count.
H. Calculate the difference between the measurement readings recorded
in step C and the dark reading from step D. Now divide this number
by the number from step G. This will give you an approximate num-
ber of counts per flash.
I. Based on the calculation from step H adjust the flashes value to a num-
ber that will give you the counts to match factory settings. This value
cannot exceed 30 flashes.
