A block diode is required to prevent current from flowing from the load to the output terminal of
the EC1000S even if the output voltage is lowered. Connect the diode and the load serially as
shown in
Figure 4-1
.
Once a diode has been connected, a load that does not consume power keeps its voltage
charged. The voltage of the load may be slightly higher due to the overshoot voltage and should
be carefully monitored.

b) Inductive load such as inductor
An inductive load generates a back EMF when current suddenly stops flowing, such as when
the output is turned off. A backflow diode is required to absorb the back EMF.
Connect a backflow diode in parallel with the load, as shown in
Figure 4-2
.

4.1.2 Selecting an output mode (AC+DC-INT mode)
