5.11 Distributor head
In the distributor head, the seed is distributed
uniformly over all coulters.
For this purpose, the distributor head has
individual segments. The metered material is
evenly distributed over all of the segments in the
distributor head, and is carried to the coulters
through the connected seed line tubes.

When creating tramlines, the tramline coulters do
not spread any seed. The connected tramline
segments in the distributor head have flaps (Fig.
63/1) to seal the distributor head outlet.
When creating the tramlines


seed lines of the tramline coulters

the tramline coulters do not deposit any
seeds in the soil.

the seeding quantity is automatically
reduced.
Each tramline flap (Fig. 63/1) is actuated by a
computer-controlled electric motor.
The tramline segments in the distributor head
can be expanded, repositioned or replaced with
segments without flaps.
