8.7 Coulter pressure, seed rate increase, and coulter lift (all coulter types)
WARNING
Direct people out of the danger area.
The hydraulic cylinders for the coulter, exact following harrow, and
roller harrow pressure adjustment are actuated simultaneously.
Given increasing coulter pressure, the pressure on the press rollers of
the TwinTec double disc coulter increases proportionally. At a too
high press-roller pressure, the germination of plants can be
negatively impacted.
This setting affects the seed placement depth.
Check the seed placement depth after the adjustment.
8.7.1 Coulter pressure


1. Actuate the tractor control valve (green).

The pointer (Fig. 190/1) shows the current
coulter pressure on the scale.

The hydraulic cylinder of the exact following
harrow moves against the pin inserted in
the adjuster segment, see section 8.8,
page 155.

With the corresponding pointer setting (Fig.
190/2), the seed rate is increased, see
section 8.7.2.
