Sensor calibration
At regular intervals, at least before the start of each season, the flow meter and displacement sensor
should be checked for correct calibration.
If the annual output is high, the sensors should be calibrated after 3000 ha.
At this point it should be noted that the sprayer is subject to regular inspection by an officially
recognized body. This inspection is performed every 3 years.
12.1
Fully automatic control
Calibrate the wheel sensor and the flow meter according to the instructions for the respective
computer type.

Checking the driving speed
Checking the driving speed is necessary because the tachometer or the electric tachometer may
be defective. Knowing the actual driving speed is essential for precise crop protection.
First measure a distance of 100 m. The start line must be selected so that the sprayer has already
reached the desired speed at the start.
This speed must be constant over the entire 100 m track.
The tank of the sprayer should be half full. Use a precision stopwatch to measure the time you
need to cover the 100 m distance.
Use the table to find the actual running speed or calculate it exactly with the following formula.
Distance (m) x 3.6
Speed (km/h) = -------------------------
Time (s)
