13.3 Suspension of the linkage
- The linkage is suspended vertically from a steel cable and spring.
- The linkage is horizontally suspended with shock absorbers and stabilizers.
13.4 Inclination adjustment de s linkage
13.4.1 Description of the function of the sash suspension - tilting
The boom is suspended on a rope or a seesaw (depending on the type of boom) according to the
balance principle and can swing freely.
Exactly in the middle, a rope is stretched across the shaft and placed on a lift truck. The rope is
correctly aligned when the two ends are the same length. The two halves of the linkage are
horizontal.
For example, when the sprayer enters a hole, the carriage tilts to the left, the left part of the rope
shortens and the right part lengthens, causing the arms to tilt to the right so that they remain
horizontal to the ground.
This pendulum suspension prevents the transmission of short but hard impacts of the boom to the
ground.
The orientation of the boom can be changed, manually or automatically with ultrasonic sensors.
13.4.2 Automatic boom control "DISTANCE - Control"
- If the machine is equipped with the DC-TOP function, this function can only be
activated with the joystick. Push the joystick lever back down so that the green light
is on and press the upper left button. The terminal screen will disappear and the word
MANU will be shown on the boom. This activates the automatic boom control of the
DC-TOP.
