1 General Information
This Instruction Manual is considered to be part of the SEM workstation. Herein after referred to
as Microscope System.
This Instruction Manual contains basic steps and safety information that must be observed during
operation and maintenance. Therefore, it must be read by the operator prior to commissioning
and must always be available at the place of use of the Microscope System. This Instruction Man-
ual is a permanent part of the Microscope System and, if resold, must remain with the Microscope
System or be handed over to the new owner.

Conformity
Lists hardware specifications as well as the manufacturer’s declaration
that the equipment is in conformity with all applicable European Di-
rectives.

Lists consumables, spare parts, tools, and accessories.
Glossary
Lists important technical terms.

The following text conventions and link types are used:
