11.7 Circuit Breaker
CAUTION
If the circuit breaker is activated to cause the power to be turned OFF, an abnormality
has occurred with the internal circuitry. If the circuit breaker cannot be reset, do not try
to reset it. Contact your nearest YOKOGAWA representative, listed on the back cover
of this manual.
Location of the circuit breaker
A circuit breaker is provided on the rear panel of the instrument, instead of a power fuse, to
protect the internal circuitry. For the location of the circuit breaker, refer to 2.2 “Rear Panel”.
Function of the circuit breaker
If the instrument is over-loaded causing an excessive current to flow through the internal
circuitry, the circuit breaker will be activated to cause the power to be turned OFF. In this case,
the reset button of the breaker will pop up, exposing the white indicator section.

Resetting the circuit breaker
If the circuit breaker is activated and the power is turned off, wait approx. one minute, then push
in the reset button to resume operation. If an over-load still occurs the trip-free mechanism will
be activated, hindering the reset button from returning to the original position.
