3.5 Synchronizing the Clock
This section explains how to set the instrument’s clock, which is used to generate timestamps for
measured data and files. The instrument is factory shipped with a set date and time. You must set the
clock before you start measurements.
UTILITY System Config Menu

On the waveform screen, tap
MENU

Utility

System
. The system screen appears.

Tap the
Date/Time
tab to display the date/time setup screen.
3.
Tap each item. Use the displayed list or input box to set the items.
Set the time difference from the GPS or SNTP.
Set the date and time.
Set the display format.
Turns the display of the date
and time on and off
Turns the time synchronization
feature on and off
Setting the Display Format
You can display the date in one of the following formats.
2017/03/30 (year/numeric month/day)
30/03/2017 (day/numeric month/year)
30-Mar-17 (day-English abbreviation of the month-last two digits of the year)
30 Mar 2017 (day month (English abbreviation) year)
Setting the Time Difference from the GPS or SNTP (GPS/SNTP
Time Diff)
Set the time difference between the region where you are using the instrument and the GPS or SNTP.
Set this if you are using the GPS time synchronization feature or SNTP auto time adjustment feature.
Selectable range: –12 hours 00 minutes to 14 hours 00 minutes
For example, Japan standard time is ahead of GPS by 9 hours. In this case, set Hour to 9 and Minute
to 00.
