GRIP WARMER SYSTEM
TROUBLESHOOTING
Check the grip/thumb warmer adjustment switch.
Check the grip warmer system wiring.
Refer to “CIRCUIT DIAGRAM”.
Correct the connection and/or replace the
speedometer unit and/or ECU.
GRIP/THUMB WARMER ADJUSTMENT SWITCH
When one of the leads (yellow/blue or yellow/white) of the grip/thumb warmer switch is short-circuited to the
ground, the respective indicator (grip warmer or thumb warmer) will come on. In addition, all of the segments
of the grip/thumb warmer level indicator will repeatedly appear one after the other, and then disappear. If the
lead is short-circuited for 120 seconds, the bottom three segments of the level indicator will stay on, and then,
if the switch is not operated, the fuel meter will be displayed after approximately 5 seconds. Once the fuel
meter is displayed, the indicator level (grip warmer or thumb warmer) cannot be adjusted even if the side of
the switch with the short-circuited lead is operated.
GRIP WARMER AND THUMB WARMER CANNOT BE ADJUSTED.
