Overview
This section includes repair analysis procedures (RAPs). These procedures aid you
in diagnosing the defective subsystem. The RAPs described in this section continue
the fault analysis to the replacement unit level.
The RAPs include some corrective information. These RAPs may lead to other
RAPs or Repair and Replacement Procedures (REPs).
By using these RAPs, you will not need to use deductive reasoning when
diagnosing a customer problem, thus reducing customer down time.
note
All of the RAPs begin with a powered off system. You can use your own
judgement to determine the best starting point for a RAP. For example, if
you suspect a faulty power supply, you may simply try replacing the
power supply instead of following the RAP from step 1.
Electro Static Discharge
Certain components in this product are susceptible to damage from electrostatic
discharge. Observe all ESD procedures to avoid component damage.
