RAP 7.1: Control Panel
Keyboard
See Parts List 4.1.
This RAP will isolate a keyboard
problem to the failed component.
1. Power on the unit.
2. Check the voltage between pin 1 (+5
VDC) and pin 2 (GND) on scanner
relay board connector J4.
Result: Voltage is between 4.75
VDC and 5.25 VDC?
No:
DC Voltage Check on page 2-12.
Yes:
Continue with Step 3.

3. In the Service Menu, perform the keyboard test.
Result:Test passes?
No:
Replace the control panel
(REP 3.1.1: Control Panel on page 4-27).
If this does not fix the problem, replace
the main circuit board (REP 5.1.2: Main Board on page 4-39).
Yes:
