RAP 3.6: Cam Sensor
Incorrect operation of the paper feed cam
usually results in a Cam error message.
1. Check for a loose or damaged ribbon
cables from main board connectors
CN10 and CN4 to the printer
interface PWB (Figure 2-4).

Result: Cable and connections
appear good?
No:
Reconnect the cable, or replace as
required.
Yes:
Continue with Step 2.

2. Check the cam sensor for proper positioning and wire harness.
Result: Harness and connections appear good?

No:
Correct the problem or replace the cam sensor
(REP 2.1.4: Cam Sensor on page 4-7).
Yes:
Replace the cam sensor
(REP 2.1.4: Cam Sensor on page 4-7). If this does
not correct the problem, replace the printer
(REP 2.1.18: Printer Assembly on page 4-24).
If that does not solve the problem, replace the main
circuit board (REP 5.1.2: Main Board on page 4-39.
