With the Controller function, you can use the recorder as a controller
output. The controller can be configured as a P roportional controller
with switchable I ntegral and D ifferential controller parts ( PID Control-
ler).
Proportional controller The Cnominal , Xp , Imin and Imax parameters define the controller cha-
racteristics. The relationship between the concentration C and the cur-
rent I is illustrated by the following diagram:

The slope Xp is the current change per change in concentration and is
limited by the measuring range end of the allocated analyzer module.
If a value is entered for the parameter
Xp that is greater than zero, the
controller has a positive characteristic curve. To obtain a negative cha-
racteristic curve, a value must be entered for
Xp that is lower than zero
(example Fig. 5-18).
I and D controller parts An integral and a differential controller part can be activated via the Tv
and Tn parameters. If Off is input, these two parts of the controller can
be deactivated.
