The AM-10HD Factory Presets
The Factory supplied presets cover ten general categories with each preset further
tuned for each of the five available low pass filter responses.
Each preset was arrived at through many hours of listening with appropriate program
material, and each is our best personal assessment of the tradeoffs between what the
DSP algorithms are capable of and what a typical radio listener might find appealing.
Please feel free to experiment with each of the presets, as each one has a unique
sound. But don’t fall into the trap of thinking that (for instance) the “Country” presets
are only good for “Country” music formats. Always pick the preset that sounds best
with your format and in your market and then if need be, add your own personalized
touches to make it exactly what you feel you need.
Future Presets and Preset Updates
From time to time we offer new presets for download on the Wheatstone Processing
website that were either created by the our development team or were contributed by
our loyal customers. These presets are downloadable as “Preset Packages” and each will
have a “.pkg” file extension. Each preset package file will be named appropriately for the
Wheatstone product that they are compatible with, noting that presets designed for one
model of Wheatstone processor are “invisible” to the other models of our processors.
Before downloading a preset package and installing it into your Wheatstone audio
processor, it is always recommended to consult the Wheatstone Processing website to
ensure that the preset package that you wish to download is compatible with the current
version of firmware in your Wheatstone processor.
