Tools: Screwdriver with Security Chuck
Phillips (or Flathead) screwdriver 3-6mm
To replace the Motor Drive, proceed as follows:
1. Unplug the scanner power cable from the wall receptacle.
2. Using a screwdriver with the security chuck, remove the (2 or 4) security screws (M6 x 25
SS machine screw with a 6 point security head) on the base front (to access the UPS) and
rear access panel.
3. Turn off the UPS by pressing the power button.

Using a screwdriver with the security chuck, remove the four (4) security screws (¼” x ½
Long SS machine screw with a 6 point security head) securing the Motor Drive in place on
the left base panel just above the Power Panel.
5. Open the Motor Drive plate and unscrew the wires from the
Motor Drive terminal.
6. Reconnect the wires to a new Motor Drive as follows:
o
Connect motor wires (Blue=U, Black=V, Red=W, Green=PE.
o
Connect Line-in (Green/Yellow=PE, White=N (120V), Black=L1 (120V)
o
Connect scanner electrical system common (Black) to Pin 4
o
Connect DIO Output 0 (Blue) to Pin 1 (Start/Stop)
o
Connect DIO Output 1 (Green/Yellow) to Pin 13A (Fwd/Rev)
o
Connect DIO Output to 4 (Violet) to 13C (Speed 2)
