1. Check the Keypad for error messages. See
3.3 Control Box Access - Technician
2. Remove all AC power to the scanner by unplugging the power cable from the wall
receptacle.
3. Open the side access doors and turn off the UPS.
4. Verify the 2-pin connector at the Power Distribution Unit is connected and powered (using a
multimeter).
5. Remove the top access panel secured in place with four (4) security screws (M6 x 25
machine screw with a 6 point security head).
6. Verify there is power to the switch connection block (using a multimeter).

Conveyor
Packages move through the inspection tunnel on a bi-directional conveyor
belt. The belt is driven by a belt drive motor at one end and an idler at the
other end.
The belt tension must be approximately 0.4%= 1.0% more than the length at rest.
CONVEYOR TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
PROBLEM
CAUSE
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Irregular conveyor movement
Test belt tension.
Try to stop the belt with the weight of
your body (place both hands on top of
the moving belt and try to stop it).
OR
Place a 25Kg object on the belt and
observe. If the belt and the idler stop but
the motor continues to turn, the belt is
not tight enough and the friction with the
motor is inadequate.
Belts shifts to same side regardless
of the direction (forward or
backward).
The idler and the motor are not parallel
to each other or at right angles with the
conveyor table.
Adjust the belt alignment spring. See
5.4.1 Adjust the Belt Alignment
Belts shift to the opposite side when
belt direction is switched.
The lift roller may not be perpendicular
to the belt (or parallel to the motor and
idler) and applies force on the belt,
which is dependent on the belt direction
Adjust the belt alignment spring. See
