6. At the front of the scanner, remove four (4) M6 x 25 SS machine screw with a 6 point
security head securing the power distribution unit to the scanner.
7. Position the new power distribution unit into place and secure in place with four (4) M6 x 25
SS machine screw with a 6 point security head.
8. Plug in the cables and the 2 pin Molex connector.
9. Verify the XR3D circuit breaker is in the OFF position.
10. Plug in the power cable at the wall receptacle and turn flip the XR3D circuit breaker to the
ON position.
11. Verify the computer and the 12VDC components start.
6.6 Remove and Replace UPS
Tools: Screwdriver with Security Chuck
10mm Socket Wrench
To remove and replace the UPS, proceed as follows:
1. Unplug the scanner power cable from the wall receptacle.
2. Using a screwdriver with the security chuck, remove the (2 or 4) security screws (M6 x 25
SS machine screw with a 6 point security head) on the base front access panel.
3. Turn off the UPS by pressing the ON/OFF switch.
The UPS illuminated screen turns off.
4. Unplug the cables behind the UPS.
