Computer TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
PROBLEM CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
Error message “Does not exist”
appears after logging into the
software.
Login configuration file is corrupt or
missing the correct version information
of the BioSans software. Open the configuration file,
BioSansLogin.cfg
, in a text editor
(for example, Notepad).
Make sure the following lines have the
exact names of the installed file, where
X.XXX
are placeholders.
string BioSansAdminExecName =
BiosansAdminMenuX.X.XXX.exe
string BioSansExecName =
BioSansXDAQX.X.XXX.exe
Error Message: Problem
Communicating with DIO
Configuration file is corrupt or missing
the COM Port value that is set in the
Computer’s Device Manager.
Right-click on My Computer and select
Properties > Device Manager .
Look for the Comm Port number, for
example COM3.
1. Open the configuration file,
BiosSans.cfg
, in a text editor
(for example, Notepad).
The file is located at
c:\Program
Files\VOTI\BioSansXDAQ\cfg
\
.
2. Locate and verify the
dioComPort
number is the same as one shown
in
the Device Manager. For
example,
# DIO settings
int dioComPort = 3
3. Set the value and save the file.
4. Restart the Computer using the
toggle switch at the left base panel.
