Preparing to Cut: Loading Media

3.5 Loading Media

Both roll media and sheet media can be used with the Vinyl Express. Load the
media according to the instructions given for each type.

The Vinyl Express Q100/130 model with three pinch rollers is used for the

explanations in this section. The Vinyl Express Q160 model has four pinch
rollers, whereas the Vinyl Express Q60/75 model has only two pinch rollers.

Loading Roll Media (Rear Loading)

Lower the media set lever to raise the pinch rollers.

Place the media roll on the roll media stocker. Load the media in the plotter as
shown. Pass the leading edge o from the back of the plotter so it emerges from
the front.

Press the media lock to engage it, and then pull the leading edge out of the
front of the plotter so that it completely covers the media sensor.
