Disassembling the Surveyor99
The Surveyor99 can be easily disassembled by simply removing the Camera Dome from the Housing or the
Camera Drive from the Enclosure. The In-Ceiling Mount Model requires removal of the Camera Drive and the
Pendant models require removal of the Camera Dome Assembly. A Safety Cord is always available to safely
hang the Camera Drive or Camera Dome Assembly while assembling or disassembling.
CAUTION: Disable the AC power before attempting disassembly of the Surveyor99 to avoid injury to the
technician and damage to the unit.
For an In-Ceiling Installation
1. Gently pull down on the Lower Dome’s outside
edge, with two hands, until all molded tabs snap
out of place.
2. Loosen the 3 Captive Drive Mechanism Screws
from the Camera Drive and lower it from the
ceiling. It will hang from the Safety Cord. Refer to
Figure 38.
3. If it is necessary to completely remove the Camera
Drive, disconnect the Safety Cord Clip and all
cables.
For a Pendant Installation
1. (Outdoor Pendant model only) Loosen the 4 Trim
Ring Screws from the Outdoor Lower Dome.
2. Gently pull down on the Lower Dome’s outside
edge, until it snaps out of place.
3. Grasp the Housing (Sunshield/Housing for the
Outdoor Pendant model) at the base with both
hands near the Housing Clips. Squeeze the
Housing Clips outward until the Surveyor99 is
released. Refer to Figure 39.
4. Allow the Surveyor99 to gently drop down until it is
supported by the Safety Cord.
5. If it is necessary to completely remove the
Surveyor99, remove all cable connectors from the
Communication Power Supply Board and from the
Cable Clamp.
6. Disconnect the Clip on the end of the Safety
Cord
from the Latch on the top of the Enclosure.
