In-Ceiling Mount Model
(ceiling access provided)
Use this method to quickly install, wire and
configure the In-Ceiling Mount Model when
there is sufficient room to work above the
ceiling. Refer to Figure 5.
1. Cut a 7-3/8-inch (187 mm ) diameter
hole in ceiling.
2. Lift Surveyor99 up, snap into ceiling
hole, and tighten Ceiling Clip Screws.
3. Working above ceiling, remove
Enclosure Top Cover.
4. If cables are used with Romex Fitting:
a) Remove Conduit Fitting and install
supplied Strain Relief Fitting.
b) Route approximately 9 inches
(229 mm) of cables through Strain
Relief Fitting. Tighten 2 Strain
Relief Fitting screws.
4. If Flexible Conduit Pipe is used:
a) Route approximately 9 inches
(229 mm) of Conduit cables
through Conduit Fitting.
b) Insert end of Flexible Conduit Pipe
into Conduit Fitting and tighten
clamp screw.
5. Cut and terminate all cables as shown
in Figure 6. Install all mating
connectors at correct locations. If necessary, check wiring against data in Table 1 of Wiring Section. Full
length of remaining cables should be looped around Enclosure.
6. Configure Surveyor99 communication and address DIP Switches. Refer to Figure 6 or Table 2.
7. Replace Enclosure Top Cover. Do not apply power yet!
8. Attach Lower Dome and power-up. Refer to the Maintenance Section for Lower Dome handling.
