Base Instrument Applications
These applications are available on every PRISM monitor, unless otherwise noted:
Application icons Description
Waveform Application
: Use this to view the voltage versus time
display of the video signal.
Vector Application
: Use this to call up the Vector, which plots
color difference signals for viewing hue and amplitude, but not
luminance.
Audio Application
: Use this to view a level meter display of the
audio in the monitored signal, along with a Lissajous display
and Channel Correlation meter for monitoring two channel
audio phase (Lissajous, Channel Correlation, and Audio
Session require Option MP2-AUD). Also included are Test level
and Peak program level indicators.
Picture Application
: Use this to view the picture decoded from
the incoming video signal.
Video Session Application
: Use this to view information about
the format of the signal and metrics for SDI Format, VPID
SMPTE ST352, Bit Level, and CRC Status.
Timing Application
: Use this to view timing offsets between the
incoming SDI video signals and Black Burst / Tri-Level Sync
external reference signals.
Event Log Application
: Use this to view a log of detected errors.
IP Status Application
: Use this to see an overview of the
monitored IP stream and see the status of each program in the
stream.
