Figure DĆ5: Computer Management window after the format is complete
In Windows 2000, when two or more hard disks are connected to a computer,
you can assign the same volume to them. This configuration is referred to as
striped volume. If you create striped volumes, data writing process is distributed
among the disks. Writing speed for the stream record can be improved, when you
create striped volumes for the hard disks connected to the MTX100.
This subsection provides instructions for creating striped volumes for two hard
disks. The following procedure assumes that the hard disks are not formatted.
1. Connect the keyboard and mouse provided with the instrument to the USB
connectors on the front panel.
2. Close the Play screen (or Record screen) to display the Windows desktop.
3. Right-click the My Computer icon, and then select Manage in the open
menu. The Computer Management window appears (see Figure D-1 on
page D-2).
4. Click Disk Management in the tree view at the right of the window.
