G10 New Installation and Upgrade Workflows

Configure Probe Setup
Probe configuration procedures must be performed by Tektronix personnel. All
upgrade procedures must be completed before performing probe configuration
procedures. Refer to
for the upgrade workflow.
Power On G10 Probe
After all hardware is upgraded and the cabling is complete, you can power on the G10 probe.
Refer to
for details.
Probe Setup
After completing the hardware upgrade procedures, call Customer Support to continue with
the probe setup process.
Probe setup (using probeSetup utility or G10 Web Configuration GUI) is required to
properly integrate the replacement blade(s) into the probe and to perform cabling
validation. Refer to
if necessary for troubleshooting Ethernet and SAS
Cabling issues.
IrisView OAM Configuration Updates
Perform the following to complete the configuration in Iris OAM:

1.
Check the probe configuration on Probe Management GUI in Iris Admin.
2.
IIC200 Upgrade Only:
Reconfigure the physical ports on Probe Management
GUI in Iris Admin and re-provision links.
3.
Reconfigure the disk array by reapplying the same profile to the probe;
ALL call
records stored on the probe will be lost.
IAP Rollback Option
Perform the following to rollback to the previously configured IAP/RTM.

Action
1.
Shut down the probe (halt the system).
2.
Remove cabling from the IAP blade and RTM and remove them from the
chassis.
3.
Reinsert the previously used RTM first, and then reinsert the IAP blade.
