10.3 Select Playback Sampling Frequency 

You can select the different playback sampling frequencies from the recording sampling frequency. 

Within the same number of channels, the selectable playback sampling frequencies are shown the 

table below.   

 
Sampling Frequency and Channels 

Lowest limit playback rate (sampling frequency x number of channels) must be 500K words/sec 

or higher.    Highest limit recording rate must be 8.192M words/sec or lower.    Playback sampling 

frequency of 1 MHz is not available.    See the table below. 

 

You can select all available channels in the external sampling mode within the available sampling 

frequencies and at the fixed sampling frequency.

About Playback Sampling 

Since there are differences between the recording sampling frequency and the playback one, the 

playback sampling frequency setting is different at the AUTO mode and the FIXED mode.     

At the FIXED mode, the playback is possible when the recording is done at combinations of the 

sampling frequency and the channel shown as “OK” in above chart, otherwise the playback is not 

possible. 

At the AUTO mode, the playback is possible when the recording is done at combinations of the 

sampling frequency and the channel shown as “OK” in above chart.    If the  recording  sampling 

frequencies  are  higher  than  the  available  playback  frequencies,  the  DS  automatically  sets  the 

playback sampling frequency shown within “()” to play back. 

You cannot playback below the lowest limit sampling frequency.
