6.1.5 Manual Calibration
At the calibration at power on state the DS unit reads an internal pre-set calibration value
automatically. This process reads the pre-set calibration value recorded beforehand at ROM of
each amplifier card. This pre-set calibration value can be renewed and updated by carrying out
the manual calibration from the <INPUT AMP> menu. This calibration process carries out an
internal measurement on each channel range and each sampling frequency with internal reference
voltage, and calibrates with new offset value and gain of each channel, and then writes the new
value into ROM of each amplifier card.
When You Operate Manual Calibration
Do not connect any signal on each channel; open the input to execute the manual calibration.
1.
Move the cursor to [CALIBRATION] by pressing the down keys at the <INPUT AMP> menu.
2.
Press the ENTER key to go to <CALIBRATION>.
If you want to suspend the manual calibration, confirm the cursor is in [No], then press the
ENTER key.
3.
Move the cursor to [Yes] by pressing the up key to execute the manual calibration.
4.
Press the ENTER key. The following is displayed to indicate the progress of the manual
calibration in percentages. Level LEDs on the front panel are flashing.
Time to Complete Manual Calibration
The calibration will take several minutes to measure all channels and all ranges with all sampling
frequencies.
5.
The following is displayed when completing the manual calibration.
The calibration result of each channel is shown at the level display LED on the front panel.
Green LED indicates the channel has successfully passed the calibration. Red LED indicates the
channel has failed the calibration, try the calibration again. Press the PEAK CLEAR key to turn off
the RED LED.
