Sysmex XE-5000 Instructions for Use

Adjusting the pressure to 0.16 MPa

This pressure is used to supply sheath reagent to the detector
block.

1. Display the Sensor 1 screen on the LCD screen.

See “Chapter 9: 9.21 Displaying the pressure or vacuum”.

2. Pull out the knob for the 0.16 MPa regulator to release the

lock.

3. Adjust the pressure while watching the pressure displayed

on the Sensor 1 screen.
To increase the pressure, turn the knob clockwise.

Normal range: 0.16 ± 0.001 MPa

4. Check that the pressure displayed on the Sensor 1 screen

is the predetermined pressure.

5. If the displayed pressure does not match the

predetermined pressure, adjust it by repeating the
operations 3 and 4.

6. When the adjustment is completed, press the adjustment

knob for the 0.16 MPa regulator to lock.

Adjusting the pressure to 0.07 MPa

This pressure is used to discharge waste fluid and mix the
sample.

1. Display the Sensor 1 screen on the LCD screen.

See “Chapter 9: 9.21 Displaying the pressure or vacuum”.

2. Pull out the knob for the 0.07 MPa regulator to release the

lock.

3. Adjust the pressure while watching the pressure displayed

on the Sensor 1 screen.
To increase the pressure, turn the knob clockwise.

Normal range: 0.07 ± 0.001 MPa

Information

Always adjust pressure so as to increase to the
predetermined level. If the pressure is too high, lower
it below that level once; then raise it to the set level.
