8.2.3 DVB-ASI Transport Stream
DVB-ASI Transport Stream Input
The HDR-106 receiver has a DVB-ASI Transport Stream input, compatible
with the EN50083-9 standard, available on an insulated 75Ω BNC connector
on the rear panel of the rack-mount demodulator unit.
The ASI input is important when the equipment is used as a decoder.

DVB-ASI Transport Stream Output
The HDR-106 receiver has a DVB-ASI Transport Stream output, compatible
with the EN50083-9 standard, available on an insulated 75Ω BNC connector
on the rear panel of the rack-mount demodulator unit.
This output may be extremely useful if an intermediate ASI feed is required
without needing to decode the audio and video signals and then modulate it
in the transmitter equipment; therefore, there is not quality loss due to a
new coding process.
