Recording
Punch In/Out with Foot Pedal
Follow these steps to punch in/out “on the fly” with the
help of an external foot pedal.
1. Select “Foot pedal: Punch In<->Punch Out” in the
System Settings
menu.
2. Press the TRACK SELECT button to select a file for
Punch In/Out recording.
3. Press the Punch IN/OUT button to change display to
REC Pause (Punch In/Out).
4. Adjust the REC Level knobs so that the Record Level
(left and right channels) does not exceed 0 dB as
indicated on the Level meters. (see
Setting Levels
)..
5. Press the Foot Pedal to start playback.
6. Press the Foot Pedal again to set the punch-in point
during playback. The PSD410 will begin punch-in
recording.
7. Press the Foot Pedal again to set the punch-out point
during playback. After setting the punch-out point,
the recording will be stopped.
8. When Recording between point A (punch-in) and
point B (punch-out) has finished, the recording will
stop automatically and the Save menu will appear.
9. Select OK and the new file (executed punch-in)
will be saved. Select Cancel and the file will not be
saved. When Cancel is selected, the PSD410 will re-
enter Rec Pause Mode (step 3), allowing the user to
redo the punch-in recording.
