How to Use the Tuner
The PSD410 provides two options for tuning instruments:
a chromatic tuner (range=A0 ~ C8) and a tone generator
(default=440Hz).
Using the Chromatic Tuner
1. Push the TUNER button to open the chromatic tuner
screen.
2. Turn the jog wheel to select the Input Source.
3. Move the joystick left or right to select the Input
Channel. Specifying an Input Channel improves
tuning accuracy by preventing interference from
other channels. For example, if youare using one
microphone connected to Input L/1, select Input
Source: External MIC, Channel: Left.
4. By default, the chromatic tuner is calibrated to
A4=440Hz. The tuner can be calibrated to any
frequency between 430Hz and 460Hz by turning
FUNCTION ADJUST #3 (4C).
5. As you play a note on your instrument, the closest
musical pitch will be displayed along with an Offset
Value showing how flat or sharp the note is (+/- 50
cents). Tune your instrument until the tuning gauge
is centered and the Offset Value displays “In Tune.”
