Recording
The Record Settings Menu
There are two ways to access the Record Settings menu:
Option 1: Press the Record Format button:
Option 2: Press the Menu button.
From the menu screen, turn the jog wheel or move the
joystick down to select Record Settings.
Press ENTER to view the Record Settings Menu
To change Record Settings:
1. Move the joystick up or down or turn the jog wheel
to highlight options on the Record Settings screen.
2. Press ENTER to select the setting you wish to edit.
3. Turn the jog wheel to change the value.
4. Press ENTER to confirm or CANCEL to cancel the
change.
Fade In / Out
When a Fade-IN Time is selected, the Record Level will
gradually increase from a mute condition to full Record
Level, from the beginning of the recording to the time
specified.
The range for Fade-IN Time is 0 (OFF) ~ 10 seconds,
adjustable in increments of 0.5 seconds. The default
setting is 0 (OFF) secondsⒶ
When a Fade-OUT Time is selected, the Record Level
will gradually decrease from full Record Level to a mute
condition. The fade begins the moment the recording is
stopped.
The range for Fade-OUT Time is 0 (OFF) ~ 10 seconds,
adjustable in increments of 0.5 seconds. The default
setting is 0 (OFF) secondsⒶ

counter-clockwise before stopping a
recording.
Count In
When a Count In value is selected, the metronome will
play the specified number of beats before recording
begins. You can select up to 16 beats for a Count In.
To record using Count In, follow the normal steps (see
Basic Recording
). When you press the Record button to
begin recording, the metronome will begin automatically
before recording begins. To adjust metronome settings,

Recording File Format
The PSD410 can record either WAV (uncompressed) or
MP3 (compressed) files. Select Recording File Format to
change the type of file the PSD410 will create. WAV is
the default setting).
Recording Channel Number (mono, stereo setting)
The PSD410 can record either mono or stereo files. Select
Recording Channel Number to change the number of
channels in recorded files. Stereo is the default setting.
