Needle beds
Overracking
During overracking the rear needle bed moves somewhat
beyond the racking position (4) and pretensions the stitches.
Then the needle bed moves back to the racking position (5).
With the overracking the stitches are also reliably transferred at
high speed.
Racking speed
To protect the yarn, the needle bed can be racked very slowly.
The carriage assembly then waits at the reversing position until
the needle bed is racked.
