4.1.1 Accessing An Outside Line
Extensions cannot access outside lines by pressing an
access code. The Line Type Assignment is set to PBX
because it is behind a PBX system.
Check to see if the PBX Access Code is pro-
grammed correctly. An incorrect PBX Access Code
will deny users access to outside lines.

Or Incoming Call
Users cannot pick up the handset to answer an
incoming or intercom call. The flashing LED must be
pressed.
The Automatic Line Selection is set to ICM with
Voice Call and Auto Answer disabled. Enable Auto
Answer.

If a display phone is busy on a call, then the phone
will not ring if there is an incoming call.
Check to see if Busy Ring is disabled on the

Busy Ring.

Software is installed properly, but when accessing
the database, error tones are heard and the phone's
LCD displays "DB setup failure."
Check to see that the EPROM pins are seated
properly. If the EPROM is properly seated, remove
power and slide the RAM switch from On to Reset
for 10 seconds. Return the switch to the On position
and reconnect power to the KSU.
4.2.3 The heartbeat LED on the 616 KSU is lit solid
