Programming Categories
Note:
Only one display set can be in programming at any
time. When another display set tries to enter
programming simultaneously, a warning message will be
received.
The following pages will describe the categories in
more detail with information on default settings for
all the features.
9.1 Extension - Category 1
This category contains the settings for each exten-
sion. Included are:
9.1.1 The Class of Service (COS)
for each extension -
assigns toll restriction for both day and night modes
of operation, permits or denies barge in and Do Not
Disturb override.
9.1.2 Line Assignment
- line by line access for outgo-
ing calls is permitted or denied for each extension.
9.1.3 Receive Assignment
- line by line access to pick
up or answer incoming calls.
9.1.4 Ring Assignment
- determines by line which
extensions ring on incoming calls.
9.1.5 Extension Group
- permits extensions to be
grouped for the purpose of group call pickup and
group paging.
9.1.6 Location
- displays the port position of a speci-
fied extension.
9.1.7 Extension Position
- permits an extension num-
ber to be changed to another two-digit number that
is not assigned to another extension in the database.
9.1.8 Function Key Usage
- permits or denies the use
of the function key by the extension.
9.1.9 System Speed Check
- determines whether the
system checks the Dialing Table in Toll Restriction
before allowing an outgoing call initiated via system
speed dialing to be completed.
9.1.10 ICM Mode
- determines whether an extension
is allowed to receive voice announced intercom calls
or intercom calls will only ring at the extension.
9.2 Trunkline - Category 2
This category contains the settings for each of the
three lines. Included are:
9.2.1 Voice Mail Group Answer
- determines when
the CO line is programmed to ring the voice mail
group for incoming calls on that line.
9.2.2 Dialing Type Selection
- allows the selection of
either DTMF or pulse dialing.
9.2.3 Call Abandon
- allows for loop break supervi-
sion.
9.2.4 Line Type Assignment
- permits the selection
of the line type for each line.
9.2.5 Line Group Assignment
- permits extensions to
receive, transfer and access lines in a specific group.
9.2.6 Private To
- permits a line to be assigned for use
by the specified extension only.
9.2.7 ICLID
- determines if the system monitors the
line for caller ID information on incoming calls.
9.3 Call Handling - Category 3
This category contains the system settings for vari-
ous functions. Included are:
9.3.1 Intrusion
- permits an internal caller to intrude
on another extension's call.
9.3.2 Intrusion Tone
- enables or disables a tone that
is heard by called party when an intrusion is initi-
ated.
9.3.3 Exclusive Hold Time
- determines the length of
time a call will remain on exclusive hold before it is
returned to system hold.
9.3.4 Abandon Time
- determines the minimum
break length in loop current before the system dis-
connects the line.
9.3.5 CO Flash
- determines the duration of a timed
hookflash executed on a CO line.
9.3.6 Remind Time
- determines the interval between
reminder beeps for calls that are placed on hold.
9.3.7 Pause Time
- determines the length of time that the
dialing function is paused when waiting for response from
the Central Office.
9.3.8 PBX Code
- determines the one- or two-digit code that
is used to access C.O. dial tone from lines marked as PBX-
type trunk lines.
9.3.9 PBX Auto Pause
- determines the length of the pause
after a PBX access code is dialed.
9.3.10 Tone Time
- determines the length of the tone signal
being sent to the C.O. line.
9.3.11 Voice Mail Dialing Ratio
(including Tone Time &
Interval Digit Time) - determine the duration of tones being
sent by the system to a voice mail port and the time
between digits sent to the voice mail port.
9.3.12 Recall Time
- determines the length of time an unan-
swered call, whether transferred to an unattended exten-
sion or placed on hold, will wait before it recalls to and rings
at the attendant's extension.
9.3.13 Alternate Ring Time
- determines when an unan-
swered attendant call will ring simultaneously at the speci-
fied alternate attendant extension.
9.3.14 SLT Hookflash
- determines the window of time a
break in loop from a single line device will be recognized by
the system as a hookflash.
9.3.15 Operator Code
- determines the digit that must be
dialed to access the attendant.
9.3.16 Dial Wait Time
- determines the length of time the
system waits after a line is selected before any digits are
dialed on that line.
