in an idle state, the system will try to use the line that
was used previously. If that line is busy, the system
will select another idle line.
N
OTES
• Pressing F51 forces the system to automati-
cally select an available line. The saved num-
ber will dial immediately or upon expiration
of the Dial Wait Time.
2.43 Service Mode
FUNCTION #0
PASSWORD 9999
DATABASE PROGRAMMING - 4. RESOURCE
The Service Mode feature allows any display keyset
to change the system’s Service Mode. Valid entries
are Day, Night or Time. The Time service mode
automatically changes between Day and Night
according to the Night Switching programming in
the database. Note: See Night Service in this section
for information concerning switching to Day or
Night from Time mode.
2.44 Speed Dialing (Station)
FUNCTION 1
The system allows each extension 20 private speed
dialing numbers (00 - 19). Each private SPD number
can store up to 16 digits of a telephone number,
which may include Pause, Flash or SPD chain.
2.45 Station Feature Status Check
FUNCTION #8
With this function, extensions with display keysets
can check the current content or status of certain fea-
tures, including checking the dialing digits that are
stored in LNR/SNR buffers. The station feature sta-
tus check will provide the following information and
allowed/disallowed feature status: LNR buffer, SNR
buffer, Day COS, Night COS, Auto Hold, Auto
Answer, Voice Call, Call Wait, Page, Busy Ring,
Transfer Beep.
2.46 Transfer
Extension users may transfer an ICM or line call to
other extensions that do not have DND enabled.
Screened transfers can be made by placing an ICM or
line call on hold first and notify the extension prior to
redirecting the call.
On an unscreened transfer the transferring exten-
sion disconnects prior to the extension answering.
Unscreened transfer functions the same for ICM and
line calls.
1. ICM Call
- The original held party becomes the
calling party. Ringback tone occurs while waiting for
an answer by the transferred party.
2. Line Call
- If the extension does not answer the
transferred call within a certain programmed period,
it will recall to the original extension.
Calls may also be transferred to the voice mail
group, if programmed. When transferring a call to
the voice mail group the system prompts for a desti-
nation mailbox. If no mailbox is entered, the transfer
will be completed without a specific mailbox desti-
nation.
N
OTES
• The recall time for transferred line calls is pro-
grammable. The programmable length is 10 -
120 seconds. The default time is 30 seconds.
2.47 Transfer Beep
FUNCTION 79 (TOGGLE)
This feature allows each station user to program his
phone to receive a confirmation tone upon successful
completion of a transfer.
2.48 Unanswered Call Management
FUNCTION 6#
A 50 entry table is maintained in the system for all
unanswered incoming calls with ICLID messages.
The calling name/number information pertaining to
the call is placed in the table at the time the system
determines the direct incoming call has been aban-
doned. The date and time of the unanswered call are
also stored. Any display keyset can review the unan-
swered call table. If calling number was delivered
the extension user can also return the call using this
feature.
N
OTES
• The entries are stored and displayed on a FIFO
(First In, First Out) basis.
• If multiple calls from the same number are
received the system only stores the most recent
call.
• Only one extension at a time may view the
unanswered call table.
2.49 Voice Call
FUNCTION 98
Extension users can control the way intercom calls
are received with this feature. When enabled, the
extension user receives an alert tone, the speaker-
phone is turned on and the extension is voice con-
nected to the calling party. When disabled, intercom
calls ring the keyset and the extension must answer
the call to establish the voice connection.
N
OTES
• When voice call is enabled, the calling party
may switch the call to ring mode by using
voice to ring interchange.
• Intercom calls from voice mail ports ignore the
voice call setting and always ring the exten-
sion user.
