The
élance
Vital Signs Monitor provides external connectors on the right side and rear
panel of the monitor to support communication with external device and functions.
An external recorder can be attached to the right.
2.4.1 Alarm Relay Connection
Warning:
Do not use the alarm relay connection as the primary source of alarm
notification. The audible alarms from the élance Vital Signs Monitor, used in
conjunction with clinical signs and symptoms, are the primary sources for
notifying medical personnel that an alarm condition exists.
Caution:
The alarm relay connection is no functional if you disable or silence the
élance
Vital Signs Monitor alarms.
The alarm relay connection should be tested before using the
élance
Vital Signs Monitor in a location that uses an alarm alert system.
