12.8.3 Nellcor OxiMax
The Nellcor OxiMax SpO
2
technology incorporates the advanced signal
processing algorithm designed to capture saturation through patient motion or
low perfusion. The OxiMax sensors are designed for exclusive use with OxiMax
technology.
12.8.3.1
SatSeconds Indicator and numeric settings
The SatSeconds feature helps eliminate nuisance alarms when patient’s SpO
2
level fluctuates near an alarm limit. If the SatSeconds feature is enabled, the
alarm limit threshold must be continuously violated for a specific number of
SatSeconds before an alarm can occur.
The SatSeconds indicator displays to the right of the SpO
2
numeric value of the
Normal screen if the SatSeconds limit is turned on.
In the Large Numberic screen, the SarSeconds indicator is shown to the right
of the Perfusion Index indicator.
