4. Installing the Robot Cable (EXD) Assembly

When installing the robot cable (EXD) assembly, be
careful not contact the fragile parts such as reflector plate
with other parts.
1.
Hook the hole of the robot cable (EXD) assembly’s Y
harness bracket (2) on the screw that has been loosened
when removing the robot cable assembly’s Y harness
bracket (2). Then establish the layout of the entire sys-
tem as shown in the illustration.
2.
Extend the runner flex of the robot cable (EXD)
assembly as shown in the illustration and align the
runner flex tentatively on the guide channel as shown.
3.
Fix the Y harness bracket (2) using the two screws that
are removed at the event of removing the robot cable
assembly’s Y harness bracket (2), and using the screw
on which the Y harness bracket (2) is hooked .
4.
Insert the X cable bracket (EXD) to the shaft of the Y
base lower assembly. Fix it using the three screws
among the four screws that are removed from the X
cable bracket of the robot cable assembly.
5.
Connect the connectors of the harness (UVW-BY) and
those of harness (ENC-BYZ) to the mating connectors
coming from the Y motor.
6.
Fix the cable of the robot calbe (EXD) assembly to the
Y harness bracket (1) with the ten bands.
