Sending Data to a Remote Party
The data transfer rate (baud rate) can be set to 1200, 4800, 9600, or
19200 bps. Before sending data, you must set the baud rate to that at the
remote party.
Data transfer format is as follows:
Data length : 8 bits
Parity
: None
Stop bit
: 1
Flow control : RTS/CTS
Notes
• If you have selected [7K] for [AUDIO BAND], the maximum settable
baud rate will be 9600 bps.
• Data cannot be sent if a 56 kbps (e.g., SWITCHED56) is used and the
audio band is set to 7 kHz.

Select [OTHER] from the MAIN menu and select [USER DATA].

Select the baud rate with the cursor.
The selected check box color changes to blue.

Select [EXIT].
The data is sent to the remote party.

After the data has been sent, select [OFF].
Note
If the [OFF] check box is blue, data will not be sent when you select
[EXIT].
