Part Replacements
4.1
Battery Cover
The removal and installation of this part is covered in the base disassembly and reassembly
procedures. To remove this part, perform section 2.1.1 of the base disassembly. To install this
part, perform section 2.2.4 of the base reassembly. If this part is being replaced, a new part
should be used in the place of the old part when performing the reassembly instructions.
4.2
Battery
The removal and installation of this part is covered in the base disassembly and reassembly
procedures. To remove this part, perform sections 2.1.1 - 2.1.2 of the base disassembly. To
install this part, perform sections 2.2.3 - 2.2.4 of the base reassembly. If this part is being
replaced, a new part should be used in the place of the old part when performing the reassembly
instructions.

Outer Base Cover
Replacement Procedure
Tools needed:
•
Style 2A ESD tweezers (Blunt tip)
•
Style 3 ESD tweezers
•
Pry tool
•
Lint-free wipes
•
Perform sections 2.1.1 - 2.1.4 of the Base Disassembly Procedure.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1.
Obtain a new outer base cover and new antenna
assembly.
2.
Remove the protective covering from the portion of
the antenna assembly that adheres to the outer base
cover.
3.
Position the antenna assembly over the antenna loop
portion of the outer base cover so that end of the
antenna with the flex film extending from it is
adjacent to the camera flash window in the outer base
cover.
