Bluetooth Antenna Installation
A new part should be used when the performing the following steps.
Tools needed:
*
Style 2A ESD tweezers (Blunt tip)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1.
Locate the group of six standoffs on the interior
surface of the inner base cover that hold the
Bluetooth antenna.
NOTE! Each of the six standoffs has been assigned a
number to make identification of specific
standoffs easier.
2.
Obtain a new Bluetooth antenna and position it over
the group of standoffs so that the tips of its contact
fingers are pointing toward the hinge and the fingers
themselves extend away from the inner base cover.
3.
Place the end of the Bluetooth antenna with the
spring fingers against and perpendicular to the tallest
of the six standoffs, standoff #1.
4.
Starting at the end of the Bluetooth antenna with the
spring fingers, work the antenna between the
standoffs so that the notch in the antenna fits over
the corresponding feature that extends from the
standoff #3 and the antenna is under the catch feature
that is at the top of standoff #6.
NOTE! When the antenna is installed correctly, the
edge of the antenna that is adjacent to the
inner base cover should be flush against the
inner base cover.
